London, better wages, its a no brainer for foreign players.
John Stones is from Barnsley, so I think he counts as foreign.

Ok, but a few extra grand in Liverpool, is not all its cracked up to be when they can be in Hull.
Seriously, Premiership players watching Kirstie and Phil on " Location Location Location" to make the most of there extreme wages is surreal.
I can imagine the players saying to the agent " Let me check estate agents in the area first before i sign that 100k per week contract"
Not really comparable though, is it mate? Who in their right mind is gonna sign for Hull if they can command more than 50k a week?
Offer me 90k a week to play for a manc club, or 95k a week to play for a London club, and I know exactly what will be most financially beneficial........
London, the prices are rocketing in London compared to the rest of the country. Nice little investment and they will make a bigger return on the initial outlay.
Now without trying to be rude, that's the first decent point you've made![]()
Seriously, getting value for their money is the last thing on the mind of a young elite sports star. You only have to look at the States and the NBA and the NFL stars that go bankrupt within 3 years of retiring. People who have earned in excess of 50 million dollars, its crazy.
I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's a misnomer these athletes who go bankrupt. I remember reading a stat about a huge percentage of ex-Premiership players who have gone bust. It turns out they weren't skint at all, they'd just had a business venture go tits up![]()
Was the reported offer only 10 mill, is that rue? what a joke.
Everybody is a selling club mate, if the price is right, and the player wants the move.
