I wouldn't sell him for Shaw money personally. He's got the potential to be one of the best modern centre backs in the world, in my opinion.

Agree with this, he's ALREADY the best English CB and one of the best in Europe. Whatever anyone offers now will be exceeded in 3 seasons anywas. By which time we'll be Premiership Champions.

A link story off that stones page story explaining Jags impressive stats for England in the WC make interesting reading.

Of course because he's not JT and doesn't play for Chelsea like his average England CB partner Cahill he will take the brunt of the blame for England's poor looking defence but the truth is anything but.

Think we're very lucky having Jags Distin and stones. One more young gun adding to that would be brilliant!

That's what I wish we would do, buy promise not over 30s and frees.
same. I mean, i get why they dont do that. 7mil is a decent enough chance for our club, and there were rumours Southampton were going to let him go soon before Spurs came around. But if you are going to be a selling club, why not do something like Chelsea did a few years ago and buy all the good young talent in the world and then just loan them out, thereby making your money back and getting them to develop. Look at the younger Hazard, he's getting to be class without ever being at Chelsea. Same with Lukaku and Courtois etcetc

That Express story is hilarious - "Ooooh, the offer of first team football at Spurs is set to swing it" - he's getting first team football at Everton, a team that finished above Spurs.

And as if we'd sell him... the London media simply don't have a clue.lollollol

He's Distin's successor - old Sylvain's probably got 1 season left (2 maximum) and that's it.

Stones is a future Everton captain.

they weren't willing to trust caulker after a successful loan spell and then sold him, despite him being one of the highest rated english defenders coming through.
