Made up for him. Senior debut clean sheet, out of position, and tried a Besic back heal that very nearly went the same way. You make your own luck.

Apart from the nutmeg, thought he started off well but faded a bit towards the end - that position is one of the toughest physically on the pitch and aswe all kniw he's not a full back anyway.

Thought Sterling did a good job helping him out defensively towards the end.

I think he's done really well in the last two England games.

Offers next to nothing going forward but as a centre back that's to be expected.

He's won a lot of headers, made some good tackles and only been caught out a couple of times.

Jags is a quality defender - really surprised how quickly a lot of people on here have turned on him tbh. He was one of our best players last season.

Well done Stonesy. Thought Bainsey did fine too and despite only getting 15-20 mins, Jags did well. He dropped in alongside Cahill seamlessly, so let's hope he's through that recent blip in form for the Blues.
