John Stones

I know we need him at the back, and has been in great form, but can anyone picture him as a Patrick Viera type Defensive Midfielder?? Just the way he covers the ground going forward and the passing as well. I think it could work, but not to the detriment of the team obviously.

I can see ya thinking mate - but that's more about the static midfield than anything else. That lad is gonna get a load a caps for England - class

The one player that is beyond price.

Not a single ball wasted last night with every pass finding a team mate usually with time to get their head up and player i.e. without pressure.
Look at Kone. 4 touches last time, 3 to a Brom player. It beggars belief

This lad returns and the losses turn to draws. Absolutely no coincidence and clear proof that:

a) Stones is international class already
b) Distin is a once decent player now stealing a living

Jags has looked a lot more comfortable since his return as well.

Stones didn't have the best of starts vs West Ham but it didn't seem to bother Jags as much as when Distin is having a mare - think he is confident that John will sort himself out as the game goes on.
