Does anyone know how many matches he misses? I realise he'll probably have to donate his body to medical science and spend the rest of his days as a head in a jar, but, if he played for a different club how many game(s) would they make him sit out?

He almost just song clear it long or out at all costs. Whilst I love we've got a player who can pass at the back he does need to learn sometimes you do need to just clear the danger by kicking it out or long.

He'll only miss the one European game unless UEFA over rule it. (Surely not) which really isn't that bad.

Just doesn't want to get suspended again, much harsher if you get two suspensions.

Absolutely daft thing to do by Stones,just watched it again ...why didnt Seamus let the ball run out of play,its not as if we were chasing the game.

Agreed. It wasn't costly so that's a great lesson he will learn tonight. It's usually our luck when players screw up we get punished but tonight we didn't. He's a quality player and these type of moments will help him become a better player.

He looked ill at ease for a lot of the game, but then not many of their defenders looked assured on it despite their familiarity with the surface. I can see why now their team have only kept two clean sheets at home in the league all season.

Worst performance from him tonight. Either he is under the weather or the pitch just wasn't suitable to him. The fact it was so obvious is testement to how good he is normally.

Regarding the pitch I noticed that Ross seemed to cut down his running pace in order to maintain his balance, he was slipping over a lot early on.
