John Stones

....hope it was one of those games, there was a couple of instances in the first half where he dallied and got caught out by the big guy. One led to a free kick right on half time that nearly led to a goal. I love the fella, he will have poor games and last night was one.
I watched young Galloway against Man U this week for the U-21's and he had a similar game, again you just hope it is part of the learning curve for them.

Pretty much the first bad game I can remember him having since he came into the side. I'm a massive Stones fan, I think he'll go to be one of the best central defenders in the world, I really do but he got bullied by Hoarau last night and the sending off wasn't his first mistake.

He's still an absolute Rolls Royce but I'd have to put my hands up and acknowledge that he wasn't great at all last night and on another night could have cost us dearly.

On the bright side, he's young and you'd like to think experiences like last night will benefit him in the long term, especially given that it ended up being inconsequential

Made a few mistakes, nearly got caught a few times trying to take players on when he probably shouldnt have, and then finally did get caught out for the certain Red,still one heck of a young player, who has a lot to learn, and you never stop learning no matter what age you are, great player.

....only saw the last 20mins of that game, Dario. I was reading the updates but in that last phase Galloway played well. Like Stones, he's the footballing type that you always feel will give you a chance when you play against them. I'm sure the coaches are encouraging them to continue the way they are, the mistakes will become less frequent. Galloway looks rapid, I like what I see.

Yep he improved second half Eggs, first half his decision making was all over the place though(n)

As someone mentioned on Twitter last night, the triple punishment for a foul in the box is nuts

You have a penalty awarded against you AND you get sent off so the team is a man down for the rest of the game AND you are banned for the next match. You get less for murder

As I've said before he's been very lucky not to have been punished before now. He's done that a few times in games but gotten away with it by making a recovering tackle or Jags sweeping up the mess.

He's young tho and probably over confident trying to play to Roberto's methods. It's no problem currently but knowing when and when not to is key going forward if he wants to become the top player I'm sure he will.

Still feel he's gonna need to beef up a bit too.

Last man, denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. Can't complain really.

Hmmm maybe, still think it was harsh. Don't think it would of been red in the PL 9x10.

Was a bizare ref. He seemed to enjoy the authority of getting cards out.

Strange game where stones gets a red for that and a player who nearly takes another players head off, which IF he'd connected could of killed him stays on the pitch.
