Brilliant interview really well spoken. Not only his he playing like someone who is wise beyond his years, his personality maturity and attitude towards live, is far beyond his years also. You've got a lad and player that you as fans and your club can be really proud of.

More than good enough to move abroad and play for the likes of Bayern, Barca and Real in the next few years. Being honest, thats where id rather see him.

I think all the speculation of where he'll go is silliness, because it'll not be for at least two/three seasons, and it could be anywhere when if he does go, I think we'd all agree he as his head screwed on, when he moves it'll be for football reasons, so all the reasons young lads move to your glamorous clubs don't apply with this lad, money & status to get tuppence, and flash cars houses and clothes, the lad only drives a 4X4 because EFC medical team advised him to, he's been with the same girlfriend since he was 12, and he choose to develop at BFC because he knew he had a better chance of playing first team football at a young age, when most young kids would have gone to a glamorous club for bragging rights, Everton is the best place for him to continue his education and get first team football, and if anyone knows this it'll be John

He'll captain us for a few seasons when Jags starts getting phased out. That's what he and the club wants and I think it's pretty nailed on unless we go backwards fast as a club.

......went to Leeds early today for work and listened to an interesting discussion on TalkSport with Ray Wilkins. He said when it comes to transfer dealings there are 2 Ps to consider - Proven and Potential. When it comes to first team players at Chelsea Mourinho only buys Proven. I know there have been rumours of Stones to Chelsea but I suspect he might be more in the potential than proven category for the Special One.

exactly. mourinho wouldnt trust him yet.

He surely won't leave us this season but if he another step next season and has another full season under his belt he's going to have some big offers on the table, he'd get offered double the money and a starting spot in a title challenging side. It'd be almost impossible to keep him.

I think most of us would agree as long as stays he will be a captain here one I know he's very young still but he does have a very good head on his shoulders what if we give him a bit of a captain traineeship if you will, make him be a vice captain alongside Ossie, let him captain a couple of games.

Rarely do you see captains leaving their club.

You'd have to be extreamly careful though and have talks with most of the squad especially the older players and the players who've been here a while, you don't want to disrupt the lockeroom by having someone so young and with less experience being a captain.
