Im still amazed how well and early Fox seemed to spot Stonesys huge potential.

I will always remember his comment

The top four clubs could do with stones, he better then smalling and jones, terry is nearly finished. City are to busy after sterling, lucky us and wenger won't spend that much on a defender so will be between che!sea and man u. Hopefully they don't want him yet
 

From what I've heard of Stones he seems like a grounded and down to earth guy - I can't seem him leaving us, well at least not yet. Leaving us for Chelsea or United right now is not a good step for his career. There's no way he'd play week in week out at either of those two clubs and also he'd be under a whole lot more pressure. IMO, he should stay with us until the end of his contract and then go from there.

If everything I just said turns out to be wrong and he wants to go, we need to get at least £35M for him, he is different class and will no doubt be England captain in years to come. If he does go I'll need a new heart as well!

Sterling 50 million with 2 years left, stones will be worth no less then 45 million, the market gone up this year for English players if city pay 50 million.
 

City are insane if they go anywhere near suarez's tap in king for £30 million...let alone £50. Stones seems to love it here, we dont need to sell....s'all hood in the (good) ison..

What we need is Stones to lead from the back, get a couple of other gems like him with the same mentality and then instead of people assuming players would like to leave for 2 bit clubs like Chelsea and City, instead we are competing at the top end of the table.

If we are ever going to get anywhere we simply have to hold onto Stones for the foreseeable and if in another 3 years we don't look like going anywhere then it's fair enough of he wants to move to pastures new. David Luiz went for 50m and that's the starting point for Stones IF player showed a desire to leave. 15m lol

In fairness, Terry isn't exactly 'nearly finished'. He's 34, granted, but I reckon he's still got another two years in him at the highest level. Dustin lasted til' 36 and still played consistently well (before this horror show of a season).
