City are desperate for home grown players, any they pick u they are going to have to pay through the nose for.

There is defo a market there for hoovering up all the lower league talent developing htem to PL standard and selling them on.

Similar to what Chelsea do albeit, nationally.

From what I've heard of Stones he seems like a grounded and down to earth guy - I can't seem him leaving us, well at least not yet. Leaving us for Chelsea or United right now is not a good step for his career. There's no way he'd play week in week out at either of those two clubs and also he'd be under a whole lot more pressure. IMO, he should stay with us until the end of his contract and then go from there.

If everything I just said turns out to be wrong and he wants to go, we need to get at least £35M for him, he is different class and will no doubt be England captain in years to come. If he does go I'll need a new heart as well!
Not sure I agree with some of that, I could tie one of his arms to one of his legs, blindfold him an he'd still get in UTD's team.

Ferdinand went for £18m to Leeds back in 2000, and £30m in 2002.

At no point should Stones be going for anything less than £30m.

Oh you'd be surprised.

I can see a bidding war between Chelsea and Man Utd for him, hopefully not this summer though.

He wont be going. End off.

They (Chelsea ManU City) are like vultures circling above us...

Not really, we turned down a £36m joint bid for Baines & Fellaini 2 years ago.

In the modern era, generally, we get excellent prices for players we sell.

Whether we should be selling them in the first place is a whole different story.

I see what you mean.

Liverpool are gonna get 50m for Sterling though.

Baines has proven far, far, far, far, far more than Sterling ever has.

And Fellaini was quality and easy worth 30m alone in the current market. (at the time).

I think 60m would have been more realistic tbh.
