Another proof that players in the premier league are hugely overpriced and overpayed.

If the player of John Stones age and skills was called Yohann Stonić and played for let's say Basel no one on this forum would be willing Everton to pay 12m for him

I find it hard to name young centre backs in the whole of Europe that I'd take over Stones. Some of which have been bought for crazy money, so IMO Stones is worth £30m

If he was called Stonesinho then people would have no problem paying 30 mill. Lets face it, football valuations are more based on media hype, nationality, and the club you are currently at than actual talent. Stones is one of the best CB in the prem yet Sterling isn't even the best forward at Liverpool but is valued higher. Why? Because he plays for Liverpool and has been hyped up beyond measure. If Stones had broken through at United or Chelsea, he'd be top of this list with ease.
