I'm hearing £6m, deal of the century.Right mate, should be able to get Ox for about £5m
Many have speculated that Ox is dead keen to join Everton. Apparently he smiled when Rom hugged RM a couple of seasons ago. Seems a dead giveaway to me....sign him up now Bobby.Right mate, should be able to get Ox for about £5m
Also clapped the main stand and F E when coming off at end of game. Many have speculated that Ox is dead keen to join Everton. Apparently he smiled when Rom hugged RM a couple of seasons ago. Seems a dead giveaway to me....sign him up now Bobby.
THERE IS 100% A VERY SUBSTANTIAL SELL ON CLAUSE.
It was said at the WSB evening at the no7 with Mr Cryne, but there seems to be some confusion remaining. Ben reiterated the clause exists.
He told me that if and when John leaves Everton, if it's for anything like or above the current quoted fees doing the rounds (£30m plus) we will be well set for a number of years, it will be a big help to the club. He did though want to make it clear that with such big fees, the buying club would pay the fee in stages over a number of years, therefore we too would get our cut over a number of years. It is also - because of our clause - in Everton's interests to get as much as possible, at the right time. He again referred to Mr Cryne's sadness over the initial deal but this clause once activated will be fantastic news for the club, in particular the academy which Mr Cryne intends to keep at category 2 level come what may, so we can continue to hopefully produce more and more 'John Stones'.
On Stonesy, to add to the love in for him - John was told of interest in him from other clubs and the club put it to John that signing a long term deal would help the club get a better financial return. He signed that deal instantly. "Where do I sign?" he said. Ben said that they've done similar with James Bree, who rejected Man Utd without even taking a look, and signed with us instantly. Referred to Davies, Smith, Digby doing the same.
Our chief executive as done a interview with one of our fans and he had this to say about Stonesy
Knowing our clown board they will have accepted a 20/25% sell on clause
Sometimes it has to be done. We got the most complete young English centre-half since Rio Ferdinand for £3 million. It's a no-brainer of a transfer on those terms.
Is he gone yet?
