Not when you do it, as happened a few times today, with the same pass to Howard or to Funes Mori which was open with far less risk and with them having more time a few seconds earlier.
Was he to know that when he does his fake and turn or pause that more options wouldn't open up? I don't think so, and of course there comes a point when he has to give it and yeah maybe it ends up not being the best passing option.
Point is, and I am glad we have the manager to do this, let them get on with showing their talent and having the confidence to try things like this. The other stuff will come with experience.
I am glad he fancy-danned his way out of defence at the end there because he is good enough to know he can lose that player and thus have space to pick a better option rather than hoofing it aimlessly.
