It's not what the media think... it's the situation it will create. Won't be good for any player at the club.

Stones should stay in to prove he can overcome a bad performance last time out. If not, then he gets the rest, but he needs the support and the team will be better for it IMO

I see what you're saying but he looked like he needed taking out a few weeks ago and we persisted with him and if anything he's gotten more ropey.

We need to stop with this we're not worthy attitude with the young lads, some times they need bringing down to earth or just a kick up the ass. Did rom the world of good last year

Stones needs benching not selling and anyone who thinks he needs to go doesn't deserve Everton to go up to a level that the likes of Stones could take us... he merely needs bringing back down to earth...

Agree, that long injury to Jags has really cost us, even if no performance issues it would have been nice to give both Stones and RFM a bit of a break after so many games.
 
Not convinced he's got the basics of a good centre back, albeit a very young one. Think he's poor in the air, can get banjo'd by bigger strikers and is also the most prone to giving it away and putting people in trouble. Feel it's telling that his best attributes being close control and first touch aren't something you would usually prioritize in a centre back.

Couldnt agree more matey. Sometimes I wonder if he hes believing his own hype. Needs a rest as well

Yet all the experts who have played the game and are currently in the game say he is set up to be the perfect centre half. He's actually very good in the tackle as well - it's a myth that he's not already a good defender - though there's room for improvement certainly.

The only people who are claiming he should be put into midfield are our fans...
