No doubt they will turn on him if he has a few bad games.

From whom? We were down to ten men when the goal was scored, and the cross came from the area where we were missing a player.

Amazing how upset people are about conceding a goal in the 79th minute of an easy away win, down a man and playing an experimental formation. Yes, a clean sheet would have been nice, but drawing any conclusions from conceding that goal is just silly.

Couldn't agree more. The venom from some fans last night because we conceded was ridiculous. Read through twitter during and after a match. I don't know whats happened to our fanbase but it's really stopped me enjoying a lot of the game now. Last night we should've been celebrating a win, lots wanted to moan and kick off instead. Pathetic behaviour. No wonder Goodison is one of the worst in the prem for atmosphere

I've noticed a significant difference in the past 2 seasons and it sounds like a lot of others have too. I appreciate expectations are higher and it's unacceptable that we haven't done better with this squad but a bit of patience is needed, especially with the younger players. Writing a 21 year old off because of a bad run of form and the fact he got outjumped by someone 2 inches taller than him after a good cross seems a bit harsh to me.

If jags bothered to get touch tight & got his body in gested wouldn't have been able to generate so much power & Robles probably would have saved it he nearly got to it as it was but had no chance as it was a bullet.
 
How many players have to have dodgy seasons for us to realise that it's completely natural.

Lukaku?
Deulofeu?
Barkley?

Now it's Stones and people are still writing them off, just like Lukaku with his touch, just like Deu first time round and his final delivery, just like last season when Barkley had been found out.

Astonishingly naive and without perspective from within a fanbase that considers itself to be very knowledgeable.

Stones is absolutely boss. If we actually bothered to close down opposition (like most of last nights game), we would be a quality defensive unit regardless of the 4 we played. We have no weak defenders in our squad imo.
