John Stones

I would rather him go to City then anywhere else in the UK, if he goes to United we will just get called a selling club, United feeder club...etc But if he goes there for some reason you never seem to here that, in the eyes of the media City are that club that just throws too much money at it and clubs are daft to not cash in IE Sterling.
No lets rinse them and look for a long term replacement for Jags and get a keeper while we are at it, Joe Hart + 20m will do for me :)

I see although Jose is almost in the chair at Man U already mouthing off that Stones is wanted. This is typical of him and does it not break the FA rules?

For me I do not care what price could be asked, he should be kept. He is part of the future renaissance of Everton FC.
How can he be breaking any rules when he is currently unemployed?

I like him, but selling for a high price certainly won't affect the actual performance of the team, given that he has nowhere near fulfilled his potential yet - and may never.
Just hope it's sorted one way or the other long before the deadline.

Wont happen while they have 3 other high earning cbs

Mangala is being sold, Vinny is injured and probably out for most of the season. There are doubts as to whether he will ever make it back. Otamendi's future is in no way guaranteed and Demichelis contract is up and won't be renewed. We have Denayer coming back from on loan and while many City fans rate him above Stones and see him as the next Kompany, he is still relatively untested in the Prem.

He looks a perfect Guardiolia centre half, he also looks the perfect Barcelona centre half but there are some on here who reckon he is not good enough for Everton.

To anyone who'll take him. Seriously though, I've heard rumours of a loan back to Portugal. I don't actually think he's been as bad as some people have made out. As an out an out defender he's better than Otamendi. If he's up against a big bruising centre forward he always comes out on top. If he played for a defensive team like Chelsea or the rags under the tactical turtle, he would look a lot better. He's been hung out to dry this season because of Pellegrini's ridiculous defensive tactics and virtually no cover from midfield.
He does struggle with the ball at his feet though and he is not the sort of defender Pep likes. Hence the strong links to Stones.

Saying its one thing but finding someone who'll take on his wages will be a massive struggle
