I hate Phil Neville.

Those comments are ridiculous. Imagine being captain of Everton, one of the country's biggest clubs let's not forget, and thinking about Man United as soon as a new player signs.

Things like that and the "top 10 is a fantastic achievement for Everton" typifies everything that was wrong with the Moyes era. Pair of rats.

Explains why jags didn't think we done that bad this season. Moyes mentality was bad, he was also the same with man u as well, always lowing the expectations

I agree that he should be sold. The lad thinks he is too good for us, and he put in a host of excrementhouse displays for us last season. Can't be having that. Sell him for as much as possible, create a bidding war and sell him. We move on and strengthen our team!

@FumarNotArsed @Jags..class @Dymak

Sorry guys, but I disagree with your three-pronged, get rid of Stones assault. This clamour to sell one of our best prospects strikes as exactly why the likes of Neville and Moyes when he went to Manure treat Everton like a small club.

Everton need to appoint a manager and coaching regime to address every area of the pitch in a massively better manner than the manager and coaching staff we've just dispensed with.. in order to correct the faults that have crept into Stones, Ross and others... to enable them to collectively improve as individuals and as a squad and realise our dreams.

The sooner Everton, the entire club and us as supporters adopt something more skin to a FU stance, refuse to bow to media pressure - cos until we stand up to those parasites we'll continue to be considered and treated as small time - the better.

For me it is as simple as I think Everton will be better off with 50 million pound, as long as it is spent wisely, rather than having John Stones on the field. Furthermore, we can focus on supposedly not giving into the big boys and telling them to eff off, but it ultimately results in John Stones giving half arsed displays so that he is telling Everton to eff off. No top manager would accept that, no matter how good the player may be. He would have been sold in an instant had he tried that with someone like Alex Ferguson.

Remember when Rooney asked to leave, twice, and Ferguson didn't sell because he's a good player and selling your good players is quite idiotic? Yeah.

For 80m I will drive him to Barca myself.

Presumably euros so £50mill pounds approx. What with potentially £60 mill for Lukaku it's eye watering stuff . And if survival/top ten PL is the clubs ambition then you'd snap their hands off and buy 4 other players instead. But if we really have ambition we'll hold on to Stones, dig our heels in on any transfer bids and tell him his role is to be captain after Jags and help bring on our other young defenders. Lukaku can go if £60 mill is offered.

I wouldnt take 50m for young John, I would take 50m tomorrow for Lukaku, hes dead to me the little rat.

80m seems a fair price for Stones tho, I would accept that.
