And a lot more respectfully than the Chelsea saga from last summer...
If we buy 5 it might! If we want to be ambitious then losing two stars in one summer doesn't exactly scream it, does it?
...a lot of big money clubs will be in for Gibbo - we'll be hard pressed to keep him.....Gibson can play centre half...
As was said, if Utd could not keep Ronaldo when they were in full force then you have to accept anyone can go. As I said before, we had a great season after Rooney and compared to him who the **** are Stones and Lukaku. This, every player has a price (regardless of where they play)
For context

According to this he'd the 19th most expensive player of all time.
We're not turning that down.
If he starts doing a Roberto and Wigan panic buying when he arrives, start wondering. The worry I have is us going for Virgil Van Dijk as a replacement and massively overpaying to the point where we swap Stones for someone with half the potential and some change.
I'll bet you he does ? £20 and the loser puts the money to GOT's charity ???Ha ha. Hardly a report that says city are close to signing him!
Jesus wept. He isn't leaving
This might be true but a note of.. I know a journo who is regularly in the press room at Goodison. He told me that somebody who is very reliable informed him it was Moyes at the end of the season. We have a new manager and I think there is a lot of talking to be done before anything happens..Respected Spanish journalist Gerard Romero is reporting tonight that Everton and England defender John Stones is close to joining Manchester City.
In his article for SPORT, Romero says that Stones will form a partnership with Aymeric Laporte in a new-look defence under Pep Guardiola.
Romero’s information seems to come from a meeting held in Barcelona last week. He reveals that Stones’ agent Paul Martin was in town to talk to the Catalan club, who also admire the 22-year-old, but when the meeting ended Martin came away thinking a move to Barca was impossible. The Spanish champions seem to be operating on a tighter budget this summer and Everton will demand a huge fee for Stones.
‘In the end, City will sign the player’ says Romero, who has a reputation of being a reliable journalist.
Stones has long been linked with a move to City, with English journalists also saying Guardiola wants both Stones and Laporte as part of a major overhaul at the Etihad. The arrival of these two promising young centre-backs could spell the end for Eliaquim Mangala, who has been linked with moves to Italy and Spain recently.
