John Stones

It would be a real shame to sell stones, but sounds like we will have to. If he has put in a transfer request, let him go. 50 million is a huge price to turn down.

I don't think we need Mata, there must be someone better?

And it's a joke that we are giving LuKAKu a pay rise when he's had a poor season, terrible euros and tried to leave us. What can he do if we keep him on the same salary? he's in a contract. we need a new striker anyway.

Lukaku -"poor season " - how many goals did he score for us mate?

I accept that he can improve and his attitude can be annoying but poor season - you are having a laugh.

50m for a player who wants to leave, I don't think we can lose at that price.

His form dipped terribly after the Chelsea bid and while I admire the club's stance then, it's time to cash in and move on.

We have to do everything we can to make sure we don't lose Lukaku so if that means giving him a better contract now, then that is what we have to do. You could argue he deserved it after the amount of goals he scored last season, the team was crap, but he was the stand out player out of all our main assets if you like.

For me its suits both parties the player goes and plays in the champions league for arguably the best manager in world football probably without having to move home for a ridiculous salary, and the club get around 50m to open the door for big signings and wages. I would love him to stay but I cant see it happening now..

If City signed Bonucci do we expect that'd rule them out of the race?
This is what I've been pondering today.

If city are willing to spend 40m+ on Bonucci are they really going to spend another 40m+ on Stones?

I know city are unfathomably wealthy but 80-100m on two centre-backs in one summer? Really?

Smells of a fake bid to pressure Everton to a reduced fee for Stones.
I doubt it mate, I don't think were that desperate to sell. I would think they're exploring ways of keeping Stones and still be able to sign big name big salary players.
