John Stones

Selling him would be mad...a lot of successful teams are built around young talent that grows over the years together, for that to happen to us we need to keep Stones, and the other key lads too. We don't especially need the money so bugger 'em.

he was just so good tonight. just doesn't look as though he has any nervousness. I'll take it out of defence and beat 4 players and then lay it off. Getting better and better, a bit tighter on crosses, £50m, £60m , i would just keep him. we have one sexy team being built here add 1 in jan 2 next summer and then game on for the top pot!

He was quite majestic at times yesterday. Seems an odd figure next to the sometimes twitchy Funes Mori.

I simply love this guy. Brilliant, reliable, composed, strong. Majestic might not even be the best word: If Beckenbauer and Baresi were nicked "Kaiser", then surely England has a new young emperor coming through.

Man Utd been briefing the press, using their favoured journo Mark Ogden from the Independent to write about how Utd will bid £50m for Stones in the summer. All designed to distract/calm their fans from Utd's humiliating CL exit and change the media narrative from LVG under pressure.

So utter predictable. The media briefing is the same stuff we've seen for years and most recently all summer with Chelsea.

So easy to spot too; one media source reports it and then within 5-10 mins all the papers reporting the same story.

They must think people are stupid.

According to the Times they are after Ronaldo, Neymar and Bale as well!

haha it's funny, as if they are going to give him all that money to spend, OK they are out of the champs league, and might be with a shout of the Premiership Title but i really cant see them going down the throwing money at it road that Liverpool have tried for 20 years.

No big names will go there in Jan, not without knowing what European comp they will be in next year.

In England now he'd surely only join City.

Barca seem to be in for Laporte...

Real have Varane

PSG is a lower level in France

No one else could afford him....

Still think if Barca comes calling he'll go. Best fit play style wise and it's barca ffs. Would rather keep him like. Think winning the league cup and therefor making europa would keep him and rom here. Silverware and euro football shows a great improvement and potential. Can't go from upper middle pack to title contenders in one season
