What a surprise, Mirror trying to sell him for us again

Arsenal are set to enter the race to sign for John Stones. The Everton central defender remains a target for Chelsea. Last summer they tabled three bids but Everton refused to sell even when the offers topped £30million. But Stones’s emergence as one of the most promising central defenders in the country has been noted at Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger prefers to buy for the long-term. The fee for Stones, 21, will be in excess of the £30million but Wenger – despite his reputation – is not afraid to spend money on the player he feels will be right for the club. He splashed out £42m for Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid and a further £35m to land Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.

I am a bit 'emperor has no clothes' regarding Stones. He's decent, but the new generation of defenders are all ball players. I'd sell at 40 million in a heartbeat.
Why under value our players, stones is a far superior defender to David Luis who Chelsea sold for £50 mil 3 years ago, we will get £60 mil plus watch this space

His reading of the game is superb, but I do get a bit stressed when he tries to start waltzing out from the back

I think the appeal is that he has everything. You're right that there are plenty who are fine on the ball, but most of them can't read the game defensively as well as Stones, can't tackle as well, and don't have the same composure/leadership/other intangibles that are clearly apparent during games.
