I've thought that for a long time,but to have posted it until now would have been asking to be crucified on the forum,his lack of physical presence is getting found out too often.He'll be amazing at Barca though.

Horror performance
Sadly has to be said that he dreadful today. Every goal he was involved with a mistake in some ways. Actully think he wont progress his defensive duties with the inept martinez. Still a great great talent, but one to forget.
Good footballer ,average defender we will never see the best of him because the manager will never instill the defencive side of the game in him to get to the next level.
Sad fact is most of the time he has been in the team no matter who partners him we have looked awful at the back .

Given his age, how many games he's played this season, the defensive/midfield injuries and all that happened over the summer it is surprising it has taken this long for him to have a few dodgy games.
He probably could do with a couple of games to refresh but until Jags is back to full fitness we won't be able to.

Gunner get a load of stick but I'm not having him at all. The lads slow, and by slow I don't mean pace. Bobby Moore had no pace but could read and think faster than most. Stones hasn't got that and against class he will always be found out. We seem to be falling into the modern trap of calling every player who's half decent world class ( Barkley Coleman Garbutt Mirallas ) He looks great at times bringing the ball out and that but these lapses you will see time and time again against the quickest thinkers and class acts. Just you watch.

Thought he was excellent at the start (other than Barnsley), dropped off once the window closed, picked up again and has begun to fade.
Other than Jags we have no RCB options though unless we went with Holgate or Pennington (who I'm not even sure is fit)
For me it's all down to experience/naivety...he's a kid playing an old man's position.

wants dropping tbh might as well stick Jags in there with Mori next week.
Said it for a good while now...he is still very green at defending but oozes class on the ball. Our goals against column is not all the fault of Mori and Howard. Stones has to take responsibility defensively and he hasn't stepped up yet.
