John Stones

Thought he was excellent at the start (other than Barnsley), dropped off once the window closed, picked up again and has begun to fade.

Other than Jags we have no RCB options though unless we went with Holgate or Pennington (who I'm not even sure is fit)
Been too inconsistent, more poor than good for me. Still love him but he needs a rocket up his backside

Dreadful today but he is a brilliant player and no mistake. He will learn. Obviously doesn't help going from playing alongside Jagielka, experienced and massively consistent, to Funes Mori, who is new to the league and hasn't done anything to convince me yet...

Needs to bulk up a little over the summer too I reckon.

Stones is learning his trade and as a young player he will be inconsistent, it comes with the territory. When Barkley was going through a bad patch last season Martinez rightly kept him in the team. However, with a defender 'mistakes' poor form lead to mistakes and goals. When Jags returns I would rest Stones for a few games. But until then he has to play and work on his game in training.

Ace when he goes charging out into the midfield to tackle of push ppl over, leaving gaps all over the place.

But its ace that he is learning at Everton and making mistakes for us, so that he is nice and ready for a big team soon.....

Koff to Barcelona you lad, not worthy of the blue shirt.

Jokes aside he was abysmal from the first minute today. He also seems to get punished for every mistake.

Lad is going to be a top top player but can't help feeling he is playing in the wrong league.

Would Gerard Pique have made it at Utd??

If we can get huge money for him I'd take a player in the Dann/Shawcross mould, either aren't fit to lace his boots but overall probably better Premiership defenders (whatever that means)

I'd rarther have a brave , no nonsense centre half who can defend properly and put his head on the ball than a gifted player who wants to do Cryuff turns in his own box.

Sadly our manager wouldn't.

Needs to learn now that sliding tackles in the box on the 90th minute and charging out of position is not always the best way forward

Would honestly drop him right now or tell him to keep it simple
