John Textor

TFG haven’t come back sniffing though .
The original report of them ‘ re-igniting’ their interest was subsequently watered down to considering re- igniting their interest , which was essentially saying that the original report was inaccurate.
Should Textor acquire the club they are entitled to expect their investment repaid. It’s possible that any contact they have had with Everton recently concerned this and was misinterpreted by an eager reporter who got wind of it.
Hence the subsequent back peddling in more recent reports.

Their "interest" hasn't changed. They've positioned themselves to act when they need to. Which is all Leadenhall case and Moshiri related

I said TFG would come back sniffing, as proper Businessmen, they just played the card and walked away whilst keeping there finger in the pie with a £200 mil loan and expecting after a couple of months things might look a bit more Rosy for them 'price wise'.

As for Textor, What can he do (other then talk the wonderful dreams he's got ahead for us) with his nice stumbling block not budging anywhere.
Unless Mosh buys them..

Gotta admit tho I do kind of like him and all his babble of us being a super 6 club soon ( And clearing off the debts )

We've got the Businessmen, the Madhatter !! but Mosh will still be at the realms with more Debt picked
It does seem as if it is coming to endgame at this point.
I don't think Moshiri can afford to keep the club without the Russian money.

TFG have had their opportunity and walked away.

JT is a serious business man behind the media presence, O think people may underestimate him.

Well they are not ‘interested ’ enough to be welcome at our football club.
Perhaps they would be better using the money to buy another antique warplane as it’s something they clearly have more interest in , pointlessly buzzing round the skies. Rich kids toys.
They could also use any spare time to fix Roma , who seem to be in need of their attention at the moment.

Yet they were interested enough to pay £200 million to repay existing creditors whose loans were due?

Yeah
Because they will make money .
That’s how loans work.
The interest due is the only interest they have in our club.
It is also what Moshiri has done throughout this game of ‘selling’ the club , secured loans off the failed purchasers. Considering he was only seeking investment originally I think he is doing quite well in running Everton on other people’s money . Respect .
It’s possibly also why the Club was so rattled by Textor to issue a statement distancing themselves from the imminence of any deal (something that was distinctly lacking throughout the 777 fiasco.)
Textor actually wants to buy the club and not be fobbed off with the opportunity to make money via investing.
Textor has them rattled.
Friedkin’s have just become complicit in Moshiri’s game.

Actually @pfim covered it:

Well these guys are capitalists, not hippies.

Put another way, every dollar they overpay for the club only goes to Moshiri and creditors. Doesn't help the club itself a bit, in fact it probably takes capital away from the club.

Actually @pfim covered it:
Or another way of looking at it is that for every day of delay so TFG can screw Moshiri on the price Everton becomes weaker and more and more rudderless.

We should all want what's best for Everton .

Of course that means good stable ownership but it has to happen sooner rather than later .

As the great Joan Armatrading once said " another day might be too late "

It's up to Moshiri to capitulate. Also we have no influence whatsoever over the Leadenhall-777 Partners case in the USA.

Yeah
Which kind of confirms my distaste for them.
Only interested in taking out more than they put in.
Not for me .
Textor for all his faults is genuinely interested in football and wants to achieve football success not just increase his investment.
He also understands the game , they are still learning it .

Glad the Friedkin’s are out of the picture at the moment.

I don't think you actually read or understood what @pfim wrote:

I think the worry is that Moshiri selling is just smoke and mirrors. He’s trying to get potential buyers to buy in with investment, drag out the whole affair (the extended exclusivity period with 777 would support this) to basically tread water until BMD is open. Then we generate more income and he can start to reap the benefits of the stadium. It’s actually a daft time for him to sell from his perspective - the cash cow is almost in reach, he just needs the funds to get by until then. Nightmare scenario but not beyond the realms of possibility
Trump wins election (and/or Ukraine loses more ground in east because western powers are too busy looking at their internal politics)
Ceasefire and 'peace plan' is implemented
Sanctions are lifted as part of plan
Lo and behold, someone steps in to sponsor BMD for the next 400 years
EFC announce preseason friendly in Chechnya

….interesting, I was wondering/hoping somebody is centrally involved we’re not aware of.
Undoubtedly.

Take a look at that stadium and tell me you dont think there'll be a queue of wealthy people looking to be associated with what is one of the greatest football stadiums in Europe / the world.

Some people just want to lift up their skirts and accept the nearest suitor...even though they know they're a pair of yank spivs who'll be completely wrong for this club.

My advice: wait and see...because there'll be far better / richer owners waiting in the wings.
