Is he not just trying to set a value for his own shares here?

1. He has offers for his shares. That’s the value

2. Whatever he’s proposing to the others is his own valuation of the club. He will need to pay a premium on top of that as he’s gaining control of the club (a control premium). So his offer is not analogous to what he’d expect to get for his minority share.

He’s really not in the best situation here. He is the largest single shareholder but does not have control of the club and only has 1 of the four board seats, less than the % of his shares. If Parrish has 50.1% of the votes in his pocket, they don’t need to buy out Textor. They don’t need to do anything.

Conversely, that’s exactly why Textor’s stake is not worth what you think it is. Whoever buys it will be in the same position as him: the largest shareholder with no control.

He seems impetuous and it’s probably how he got himself into this situation, and it frankly doesn’t speak well of how he’d operate EFC.
