...a great Evertonian who is sadly no longer with us brought this bottle of Dark Rum home from his travels some years ago. Black Joe Jamaica Rum.

A few months back, my daughter and I were going to crack it open but she googled it and found it is quite rare and worth a few quid.

Needless to say, it’s back in the cupboard.

That's a very intriguing bottle. I'm in a similar position with 2 bottles of the original recipe Sailor Jerry I've got stashed, really want to crack one open but there are very few left in the world at this point.
 

New to me this one as well. Sort of a rice whisky by the sound of it?
So many alcoholic drinks I haven't tried ; I can see the future beckoning.
Made from grain with an aftertaste like manure, can't be worse than some drinks I've had.
