Hope Coleman comes back ready. Difficult game for our young lad today off the pace.
I agree. The upside of it is as poor as he was today, getting torched on the wing, and being a step off and getting to the ball and attack and his passes, cost us the game. Hopefully when he goes back and watches film, it will be some teaching moments that he can improve on in the future. I think he can still be an excellent player for us, but he is still very young, and I would not want to have to count on him for 38 games yet

Tough for him coming up against Maddison and Chilwell. Not going to get any easier for him against Palace with Zaha and Van Aanholt down his flank but hopefully Coleman will be back. He made 3 separate mistakes for their goal but got to ask why we seem to be so vulnerable from counters on our corners as that's twice in the space of a week now.

He still has a lot to learn at this level but I wouldn't write him off, at youth level at two separate international tournaments he was the best full back at the tournament. Think a loan out (similar to Coleman's spell at Blackpool) could do him the world of good.

Getting support from Walcott and Davies might help

getting targeted at the moment last couple of games especially.
he will come good he has a good football.brain just needs experience to go with it saying that should really only be getting an odd game at this stage of his development, not starting every week.

I think some of his runs, crosses and passes are going under the radar.

Like that ball into Walcott before Tosun's goal against Fulham, or just in general his curling outball he tends to play. He offers a bit that Coleman doesn't to be fair to him. However, his first job is defending but he's learning. Thankfully his mistakes weren't costly.

I'd like people to remember that Coleman was pretty poor at the start of the season too.

I didn’t think he was great today.

But you learn from bad displays. He was massively improved against Fulham, and today he was more assured that last season
He got absolutely retired for their goal, he may as well have stopped, if I’m being honest.

But he tackles well, he follows the man, but he’s inexperienced.

Will he be good enough? Only time will tell, but I hope so, cause as Seamus comes to the end of his time we’ll need a new right back and he could be the man!
