It was obviously a collective strategy, but yeah, we shut him down completely.Gylfi made a right mug of Madison, whom has just been called up for England after an impressive start to the season.
It happens, innit
he's played most of his youth career for successful teams i.e. world cup winners and league winners so i doubt he's ever had an amazing amount of defending to do and it has showed. He does chase the ball way too much instead of watching his man, but he'll learn. He's still young and will become a great right back for us, i'm positive. He's great going forward imo and at this stage of coleman's career, kenny is far ahead. Just need patience. It'll probably be his last full game for a while but it'll come, he'll be first choice rb in about 3 years time and even if he becomes just a backup, teams like city are paying £40m and such for backup right backs so it's a win win for us.
That doesn't necessarily mean that this problem will be solved. Our fullbacks, as other posters have pointed out, are often isolated and Seamus hasn't been his usual self so far this season (understandable, given the events of the last 12 months). Hopefully, that is just a blip but we have to consider the possibility that Kenny will play a reasonable number of games again this year.Coleman will be back for Palace, anyway.
No he isn't. He's inconsistent. He's just played two very decent games against Fulham and Arsenal. He’s just bad.

He was poor yesterday.
I agree. And that applies to every one of our players. If we can replace him with someone better, we should.
Eh? This is a 20 year old kid who’s been with us for what over 10 years, I don’t think it’s in his nature to even try to unsettle our dressing room just because he’s got Seamus ahead of him. Even our dressing room shouldn’t be as bad as to have their balance upset by a 20 year old kid, they’re virtually all experienced international players and i can’t believe Silva would be so weak as to let it.I agree. And that applies to every one of our players.
One thing I would say with back up players, which is basically what he is, it's very difficult to keep them happy, especially when there is such a clear first choice like Seamus. There's always a risk that a disgruntled player can upset the balance in the dressing room. It can be a fine line.
