Pretty low BUT he's not good enough for where we want to be and sometimes you just need to get players off the books. We sit here wishing Gylfi, Tosun etc. would go because no one will bid.

He's probs worth £10m but meh, just take the money and get the wages off the book.
To put things in prospective Wolves brought a kid on last night that i'd never even heard of.
They paid £9 mil !!!! , yeah I know its Liverpool but Kenny is a proven Prem player , England youth & u21 captain .
Kenny might not be what we need but £ 7 mil is a really low ball offer to me.

Hoever? He was really really highly rated, I was surprised Liverpool let him go. I believe it was because they saw him as a centre half and he isn't the biggest, but he was definitely seen as a big talent. Kenny's nearly 24 now, he's not seen as a promising kid anymore he's seen an unwanted PL squad player. Getting £10m for him would be an amazing piece of business.

Ive seen big talents come and go every season in the unforgiving world of the Prem. Nothing to say that lad wont be any different. Until he's played 10/15 games he cant really be judged.
Point is if Kenny was an LFC player you can bet yer bottom dollar the price wouldnt be £7 mil.
Jordan Ibe ? Solanke ?....highly rated.

Yes to that really. Hoever played brillaintly at 16 for Liverpools first team. To be fair to Liverpool (and Chelsea/City) they sign very highly rated young players (which is going to get a lot harder/almost impossible) now due to Brexit. But they give them big sign on fees, massive wages. I read somewhere that Elliot was given a 7 figure sign on fee and wages that were 7 figures per season. They speculate a lot and when you deduct fees and sell ons they pay, probably don't make as much as people think. But Hoever is much higher rated than Kenny is.

As for Kenny, it's a good move for all parties. 7-10m is a great figure all things considered and is all profit as well. He won't make the grade here. The fact Ancelotti played Iwobi ahead of him, and moved Holgate in there ahead of him shows that. He's a very solid right back, but he lacks pace and physicality. For Burnley, who will sit deeper, and have to defend their box more, he stands a chance of making the grade. A bit like how Hibbert was when Moyes first arrived here. However for where we want to be, it will likely be a new RB for us. Holgate has an opportunity to stake a claim, and whatever people think of him, at least he has the height, physique and power to stake a claim. He looks what you would want from a right back playing for a top team in terms of his build.

If Kenny played for Liverpool it's unlikely he'd have got near the first team. For every Ibe there's a Cameron Brannogan, or a Jon Flannagan they've let go for nothing.

Well obviously we don't know who'll make it and who won't, I was just commenting on him being someone you've 'never even heard of.' He is also a Dutch youth international, won the European Under 17 championships etc, so pretty similar pedigree wise to Kenny. Again though, Kenny can't get a game ahead of an ageing Coleman and a utility player in Holgate, and will be 24 by the next transfer window. It's not going to be easy convincing someone to pay £10m+ for someone in that position.

Bur who else is bidding for him? Who’d pay £15m? We can’t set high values for all our dross otherwise they’ll still be here 5 years later.

They sold him to get a better deal for Jota.
