Made up for him. The one thing I'd say is that his recent performances mean that there is less pressure on rushing Seamus back too early - our sixty grand talisman needs to build his recovery over time; increasing his minutes in the first team until he is fully match fit & confident to deliver the performances we love him for.

So, made up for Jonjoe, he's come on leaps & bounds - he gets important experience & Seamus gets the right rehabilitation - then we go from there. Nothing wrong with having great players competing for a position; sure they'll push each to get the shirt.

I am waiting for Jonjoe to score his first goal and not be in the shadow of Hibbert.
Gutted for Seamus. He will not be the same player.
The fact players can come back at all is a modern day wonder.
Twenty years ago an injury like that retired you.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion this - but he doesn't do quite enough going forward for me personally. Half of the time he gets the ball he'll knock it over the top down the touchline for DCL to run on to and is seldom successful in doing it. Actually think Martina has been a bit better with his offensive play on the other side.

Not slating the lad, just a minor criticism. He's deffo improving all the same.

What about when he won that penalty with a surging run into the box against Swansea while Martina has yet to pick out an Everton player in the opposition half with a pass or cross in his career so far?

Ever thought that he's acting on the manager's orders?

Keeps getting better and better. Would benefit from playing in an Everton side with more attacking threat and more confidence as he'd be able to get up and down the wing far more but for now he's doing an excellent job in the role he's being expected to do.

He's done really well after settling into the side but put in a terrible and costly performance today. Particularly on the first goal where he could have easily covered the scorers break if he'd been motivated to do more than jog back.
Semed to have been given more licence to get forward and it backfired. Maybe he's just tired after starting so many games.

Got the run around today, learning curve I guess. I do take issue with all the posters who told me about his quality on the ball a few weeks back. We're yet to see any of that and it's badly stifling the team in an attacking sense because he offers no outlet whatsoever.

Maybe he's a young player who had a bad game At this stage in his career it's gonna happen
He's clearly got all the tools to be a great player he just needs to up his consistency
