Or, to put it another way, unlike three or four of our younger players, Kenny wasn't sent out on loan which should have told him, and everyone else, that he had the confidence of the coaching staff who believed he was ready to be in and around the first team, whereas the likes of Dowell, Galloway, Browning, Pennington and Walsh have been farmed out for a bit.

Heh, if it was me, I'd have played him before the Sunderland game, but football fans are hopeless romantics and want to see young local lads playing every week. What seems to be happening with Kenny is pretty much exactly what happened with Davies last season. On the bench a bit, brought on, does well and will now hopefully get a few starts. Unless a youngster is massively talented, this is what happens at almost all clubs.
Guilty as charged, am still annoyed Dowell is out on loan lol

I'm not one for jumping on bandwagon pal check the Niasse thread from start to finish...

This lad cannot strike a football Kenny's first two crosses today were far more effective than ive seen all season from Martina

Kenny actually knows how to put a bit of whip on the ball not just hoof it meaninglessly
Agree. Every cross from Martina was floated in giving the goalkeeper all the time in the world, Kenny crossed with more pace on the ball and more accurately.
Lovely 1-2 with Davies at the end, showing the benefits of having played together in the U23s. He offers so much more to the team than Martina and as such needs to be on the team sheet.
Plays on the right just like Baines used to play on the left. Feel sorry for him when Coleman returns.

That's what happens when you have good young players who have played with each other for years. Loved that first time ball that Kenny played and Davies just knocked it first time into the space that he knew Kenny was going to be running into.
A bit like Utd's class of 92...

Thank you I'm baffled how his preformnce today is even up for debate his highlight was a routine header to stop the back post goal

The fact of the matter is he wasted the ball in very good positions time after time i expect better at this level either run at a man cause danger in the oppositions box or put a dangerous ball in he done neither

Totally agree I want Kenny to start but you can't knock Martina performance today, their was a lot who played worse than him
