Was great to see him, Holgate and DCL taking time to applaud all sides of the ground at the end of the game. All taking it in and appreciating the crowd. Players like this play for each other and seem to have a good team ethic which, hopefully, bodes well for the future.

If that's the case then it says a lot about the upcoming talent. I'd describe both as decent youngsters.

You have two possibly excellent rigth backs and no left backs, makes sense to try get them both on the pitch, Lahm never did bad exactly playing the opposite side either - and if there is one player we have with the self confidence to not be phased by swapping like that it'd be coleman.

Now imagine Kenny developing how he has and getting forward - with Seamus driving into the box the opposite side, instantly transforms the entire side - and pretty sure that Sigurdsson on that side would absolutely love threading the balls through to him

It solves two problems. It would be a shame to see Kenny come into his own only to go to the bench. Of course you can’t select him ahead of a fully fit Seamus but it’s a great point about Coleman being better cutting inside which actually puts him on his stronger foot if he’s on the left. Combine Coleman with Bolasie on the left and Kenny and Lennon on the right and Rooney and or siggy in the middle and you’ve got a balanced attacking side there.

have to wait and see on Coleman, how he has recovered from that awful injury and his playing. Needs to go into U23s first.

Aye mate, it's why for me the centre back is by a mile the most important position we go and sort in January - we have options soon at the left back and right back spot, IF we can only bring in two players in January - make it a cb and a striker
