We would have been, but I think the ref saw that Pickford was always going to get to that first and gave him the benefit of the doubt because Ings put himself in the position where it was always likely he'd be clattered.

It wasn't like last season when Mane got sent off for putting someone at risk in order to win the ball; Pickford was always going to get that.

We KNOW didn't we that Pickford can clear that without making contact? All he had to do was follow through in a normal angle and it was cleared without contact.

Keepers are almost always protected in these scenarios as long as they get the ball first. Whether you agree with the call or not, he was never getting whistled for that unless the ref is blind. If anything, Ings gets whislted for obstruction there.
