And then who would we have? No one would be selling us a good keeper that late on.
Butland...not great but could have done a job for us...or even one of many Real Madrid goalkeepers...

Hard to take an imaginary offer tbf I can see why we kept him.
Butland is in the Championship for a reason. No premier league team deemed him worthwhile to buy.

Why does it matter? He is solid enough and young. There's probably about 5 keepers in the world who you'd call world class or "match influencing".
When the rs and chelski are paying what they've paid for unproven keepers, who are not noticeably better, we are actually ok.
He doesn't drop clangers every match, so I'm happy with him.
