Some people would believe anything and panic themselves into oblivion, even though its quite obviously made up from a paper no one likes in Liverpool and thats the lead from were other papers are getting it off,add to most of the other rubbish that is wrote, next they will write hes unhappy,in the same way about 2months ago when we were losing that Jags is unhappy and leading a revolt behind the scenes and so on lol

After supporting Everton for the past 30 odd years I’m set to a default of believing everything that is bad for us and zero of the stories that are good for us. I am hoping that changes before I die

It is not that simple though is it. You cannot guarantee a 20-25 goal striker you just have to hope. I think currently with our style of play it will be easier to get one as strikers and style of play go hand in hand. Someone can scores goals galore at one club and not many at another so style of play must come into the equation also.

Never that simple but you've got try and put positive spin on it somehow. When we sold Lukaku for £75 million we replaced with Sigurdsson £45 million and Keane £25 million at the time it looked like poor business but now it looks like good business. I'm not wanting Pickford sold and we don't have to as we are not skint and he's on 6 year contract. However if we did sell because Brands and Silva believe it to be right decision I trust them to get in the right players to take us another step forward.

It's just a SUNDAY rumour. They need stories so they start making them up to fill the Sunday rags.

Regardless this is a problem that teams out of the top 4/5/6 face. They are not allowed to build a team without losing some of the best players along the way thus taking a step backward. It is getting harder and harder to build a team without the big guns pouncing. We take the risks with players like Pickford and Richarlison and others and usually get derided by opposition fans and media alike for the cost of them. Then the same media and fans say they are too good for us and need to go to a top team. It is getting so difficult to build a team to join the so called elite as it is an unwanted distraction for the media.

If Pickford plays like he has for the last 7 or 8 games for the rest of the season there will be teams interested in him.

Last season he made a few errors and also at the start of this season, but he has cut those out lately.
His also getting a lot of press attention.

If de gea leaves I think Pickford will be the first one they look depending on how he plays for the rest of the season.

Arrizabalaga went of 71m, I expect Pickford to be around 60m upfront rising to about 75m.

Spurs are still getting it now mate and they've finished in CL position for the last 3 seasons. The press are forever selling Dele Alli, Kane and Ericson.

pickford being england no 1, not spains no2/3, plus premier league experience and the english premium, minimum £100mill and even then it's a steal given he probably wouldnt leave till he retired

Athletico are 1 point off top in la Liga and are nearly through to the cl last 16.
Plus he has a very high release clause.
They still don't have the ability to pay him what United could. Plus they would get a big chunk of the transfer fee from selling De Gea.

Atletico players are not untouchable when somebody bigger comes along. Bit like Liverpool players really.

All considered, £60m would be laughed at.

Everton paid £30m for him at a club who were absolutely skint, who'd just been relegated and he'd had a few top flight appearances to his name.

..it’s obviously all conjecture but you have to take buying a replacement into consideration, I can’t see Everton being in the slightest bit tempted by £60m.

To get that fee he has to be number one in the world by a large margin, which he isn't.

60-70m is about right considering that's what the best are going for.

The "English premium" isn't what it once was, recently you have seen English players leave for quite moderate fees.

Add to the fact Pickford is quite outspoken, never afraid of doing an interview or have the press follow him outside of football, it isn't like the baines Bayern Munich scenario, where baines told them he wasn't interested

I think if united move for him he will take it.
