Is it a weird agenda to want the highest level of professional for NSNO,? Let's be honest call it as it is, it was an error more akin to a Sunday league goalkeeper.

It was an error.

Just like Alisson's error for them earlier in the season.

It happens. He'll get over it. The team will get over it. It's just happened at the worst possible moment.

So were the errors by Grobbelaar, Reina, Gerrard, Distin, Young and countless others in this fixture over the decades and to hundreds of other players in other derbies

It was an error, of course it was. But I’m not gonna get myself proper dead irate and fume at a poor judgement call 3 hours after the match finished and call for the best keeper we’ve had for years to be dropped because of one mistake, as I’m not a weirdo.

He compounded his massive error by contributing to that psychological weight bearing down on us...and he brought it up JUST to get himself out of jail. It was a coward's trick.

A non-apology apology. He can stick that where the sun dont shine, the clueless Mackem biff.

You were happy as a clam for 94 minutes and you know it...focus elsewhere, it ain't worth it. I'll choose to think of Alisher the Hutt seeing, what was, a good overall performance and getting an itchy pocketbook at the thought of what a little injection of blood money could do. Let thy path of futility be positive.

To be fair nobody has said drop him.

Probs because Stek is back up! But I have seen weirdos say sell him and buy someone not as good in January.

This. Reminds me of Distin, superb for us for a handful of years, yet whenever I hear his name mentioned I immediately think to that back pass in the semi final.
Everybody makes mistakes, I still think that Pickfords is the worst in a derby I've seen, however I have calmed down after his interviews after. Perhap's he'll learn from it and and when we're winning 1-0 at GP, he'll let it go over his head. Distins was bad, but nowhere near as bad as today's. Unless we draw them in the cup at the pit, and he put's in the wordly he'll be forever associated with today's mistake. Overall he's a good goalie, if he can get rid of his Reina esque mistakes, he'll be like Buffon.

How does anyone cut this feller any slack right now?
What do you want us to do ffs?! Swear vengeance againt the lad and hound him out of the club? Just behave and take evaluation for a second. The lad has messed up big time, nobody is denying that but he's cost us a point, just a point. Yes it's gutting to lose to that gang of bells, especially like that but you and others on here are being well ott.

Distin made a worse error as it was a terrible error of judgement. Pickford made the right call, but had a handling error. If he had just stood and watched, and the ball dipped under the bar, it would have been a far worse mistake in my opinion. It is better to muck up doing the right thing than to do the wrong thing, even if the outcome is the same.

He's due a howler or two. He was the main reason we made it to the dizzy heights of seventh place last year.

You could have pencilled in his name as MotM before every game just about.
