My foundation is my opinion, and I wasn't that impressed with him at Sunderland,he made a huge mistake in our biggest game did he not alsocost us their last season, football is all about opinions and mine is i don't think he is as good as most make out.

I think Robles was the ideal standard as a back up. Unfortunately he wanted more and realised that he was unlikely to ever be 1st choice with Pickford here. I wouldn't have extended Stekelenburg contract and let him leave at end of season but we've got him for the extra year hopefully Virginia proves himself able to step up to number 2 in 18 months.

You cover yourself with realistic target.There are plenty of good keepers out there as good as him,but whoever i mention you would pfft him so no point really but the German league has at least 2 maybe 3 REALISTIC targets ditto the Italian league.

I don't particularly like him, he's very much an England boy and the media darling because of the run in the World Cup.
He's a good goalkeeper though, the problem he has is that the media hype him up and it appears he believes this hype.
He probably thought he could catch that ball and dive to the ground with it making himself look impressive rather than doing the basic thing of tipping it over.
Shame really for him because he made a good save earlier in he game from Shaqiri. That's him at his best. Unfortunately we saw him at his worse in stoppage time.
