1.Stephanie Ruffier St Eteinne 2Netto Valencia 3 Asenjo Villarreal. 4 Plus the lad at Inter can t think of his name.

All of them 30 (or nearly 30) or over. And all of them - ALL of them - have made howlers at times. Because when a keeper makes a mistake, it's usually a howler.

Pickford is going to be our keeper for some time. He's only going to get better. He's already very good. Not world class, not a superstar, but very good, and perfectly suited to how we want to play.

Farhrmann Shalke

Cheers mate . In relation to me You could have put any number of names and given my European goalkeeper knowledge i suspect. The poster who asked might well have a better idea .

but the German league has at least 2 maybe 3 REALISTIC targets ditto the Italian league.

I’ve also discovered my geographical knowledge of the country where European cities are based appears to be lacking as well ;)

Think we should go for this Foster lad .... ....but no mistakes.

EVER

Foster made a "horrendous blunder" in the televised League Cup semi-final, allowing a soft shot from Carlton Cole slip underneath him, which gave West Ham United a 2–1 lead after the first leg.

It shouldn't happen to a goalkeeper, and certainly not one about to join up with the England squad. Ben Foster has taken his misjudgment of Paul Robinson's 95-yard punt in the chin, and accepts he will benefit from the experience in the long run.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is keeping his cards close to his chest in terms of his goalkeeper selection for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final at Aston Villa The Barclays Premier League derby between the two clubs at Villa Park on Tuesday ended in a 2-1 victory for the hosts after a stoppage-time error from Ben Foster saw the Baggies and England shot-stopper give away a penalty that was converted by Christian Benteke.

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has revealed the depth of his disappointment after the derby clash with Manchester City, despite the fact that Michael Owen's late goal sealed a late win for Alex Ferguson's side. Foster made a conspicuous error that led to Gareth Barry's first goal for City, and since then he has done his best to ignore the intensive media coverage of one of the most thrilling Manchester derbies

Er- tongue in cheek mate

Buffon is 40,all still have 5 or 6 years ahead of them.

Buffon is a freak, a once-in-a-generation talent.

Pickford is a quality goalkeeper who is still young and learning. However, even the most experienced goalkeepers make mistakes.

I've seen all of those keepers plenty of times, especially Handanovic (Inter). I wouldn't take any of them over Pickford.

Not necessarily because they aren't better – some of them are at this moment – but because Pickford has bags more potential and is perfectly suited to how we want to play. One mistake, a bad one, granted, doesn't change that. Overall this season he has been very good on the back of playing a key role in England getting to a WC semi-final.

He had a shaky start but quickly overcame it and now he has to react to what was a terrible error. I'm sure he will.

I can’t believe there are still idiots giving it [Poor language removed] about him tbh. He has won us more points then lost us so they need to give it a rest in my opinion.

I agree with everything you have said here. There is still a lot for him to learn and from mistakes you have to learn which I’m sure Jordan will. The guys with their pitchforks out will always have them out for one reason or another it’s sad and pathetic.
