Sir Alex says HiA right fool of yourself, keep digging!
Mate your making a fool out of yourself when you start saying things like that, I'm not even sure how many Americans there are on here, but plenty of local people stuck up for Howard, I'm sure Joey is from Liverpool for one, i stuck up for Howard, and i was also born this side of the pond. Why because my opinion is different to yours.
He was a average keeper, most of the people sticking up for him on here, especially in his last couple of seasons when he was a disgrace were Americans.
The greatest manager of all time got rid of him pretty quickly. I will take Sir Alex’s opinion of Howard over yours if you don’t mind.
Has he gone yet? @bullybeef
Its a pretty good feeling to know Ive now reached the level of importance where Sir Alex takes time to say helloSir Alex says Hi
Didn’t let us down WOW. You should stick to NFL mate. He was bang average and cost us every season.Mate your making a fool out of yourself when you start saying things like that, I'm not even sure how many Americans there are on here, but plenty of local people stuck up for Howard, I'm sure Joey is from Liverpool for one, i stuck up for Howard, and i was also born this side of the pond.
A lot of fans talk nonsense when it comes to keeper's, just look at the last Pickford thread, every time a goal goes in some idiot questions the keeper. Howard was fine, he might of gone on for one season too many but that's more down to mis management of the club, he personally didn't let us down at all
And I was over the moon we signed Pickford and I’ve never criticised him, he will make mistakes he’s young, but he’s done more in one season than Howard did in 10.
Timeframes all bleed into one nowadays but I think Lookman and DCL were from Walsh’s time too... either way Moyes was a much better judge whilst also being a better manager than any of the three we had last year and given the amount of signings Walsh made its shocking how many we will make losses on...from a football player perspective I guess Pickford has become our most valuable asset. Not sure of his worth but it has to have increased significantly in the last month to the type of money we got for John Stones.
Not sure how many transfers from the Walsh era could return a profit, certainly Pickford and Gueye, perhaps Vlasic.
Proberbly keeper of the tournament, the outfield let him down, just like Everton and Sunderlands have.Made another wonder save today, and again just like another England game, the defence goes and lets him down within a minute

keepers always want a clean sheet, its effectively their version of a striker scoring a goal
the fact he kept only 1 cleansheet is not going to make him happy and has probably ruled him out of getting in the world cup XI
he's not to blame for that of course, but it shows how poor thing england defence actually was
