I feel that Jordan has unfortunately regressed since his first season at Goodison. He has become more of a liability in big games, the pressure of the derby and particularly his attitude during games against Newcastle are very worrying. He doesn't seem capable of concentration when it matters most.
On top of this his distribution is wayward and wasteful - I am sick of seeing him rushing out to boot the ball aimlessly upfield, followed by the usual apologetic hand in the air (the other across his chest) indicating yet another 'sorry about that lads'. Even his saves to shots faced ratio is one of the poorest in the league. Not great on pens.
I don't expect clean sheets every game, but I think we should be considering cashing in before his value plummets. Do we know anything about Lossl? How is Stekelenberg still on our bench? That is worrying. That other lad we poached from Arsenal and went on loan to Reading has been awful by all accounts.
Surely we could attract keepers from premier league teams outside the top 6 (Fabianski, Pope, Dubravka etc). Or failing that, what about the reserve keepers at bigger clubs? I always thought Sergio Romero was decent whenver he played for Utd. There are a few decent keepers we could get on free transfers in the summer like Alexander Nubel at Shalke (German U21 int'l) and Walter Benitez at Nice (Argentine U21).
Plus with Carlo we can surely attract some higher calibre talent.
Maybe I'm being harsh on Pickford, but considering what we paid for him I think he's gone backwards since...
