I think peoples only hope is that he has an amazing Euros and somebody goes in with massive money, very unlikely I would say.

As I say I think the most likely scenario is that we buy a good quality back up that takes his chance when given.

I will be very surprised if hes not here beyond September at this point.

Like Delph people have made their mind up and their viewpoint wont be returning.

I dont think hes all that bad myself, but again like Delph we can certainly do better.

What’s with all the thumping the ground when he lets a goal in. It’s really pathetic, he needs to go. Just doesn’t fit with the club IMO. Sick of all the drama, players can have personality but could we at least make it a likeable personality. He’s not a good enough keeper to put up with all the bullsh1t. Please bin him. He’s easily my most hated player of all time. Just a big baby.

The problem is we couldn’t afford to buy a new keeper (especially given the other areas of the team that need signings) unless we sold Pickford for a lot more than we bought him for. If a top club is willing to pay upwards of 40 mill for him then w rube to ask why we are selling him. If there’s no takers, then I doubt we can afford to dispense with a 30 mill goalkeeper and hope to buy another one in. He’s nowhere near as bad as some people are making out.

Im not a massive Pickford fan myself and think we can probably do better, but personally I consider a new Keeper very low down on our list of priorities for this Summer.

Top class Keepers cost serious money and I would rather our very limited funds went towards a RB? CB, CM, RW, all of which will cost a pretty penny.

I dont think he costs us that many games and I look at the other Keepers in the league and none of them blow me away, oh the days of a peak Cech or De Gea, big Peter doing bits in nets.

But people seem to want to replace 20 players this Summer, going to be some very unhappy people come September.



Poll wouldnt be that interesting, given those options, im almost certain it would be a landslide in favour of getting somebody else in, I mean we defo need somebody else in to push him and hopefully put real pressure on him.

Pickford isn't even an average keeper at the minute though, that's the issue. He's actually channelling Tim Howard 2012-16, he can't save a shot. I just want to spend a nice £10m on someone who'll be a reliable 7/10 goalkeeper every week.

Top level ‘barely make any mistakes’ goal keepers are very rare, and expensive and probably only essential to teams intending on winning a title. Not sure we can afford to be so ruthless!

I agree with others, as erratic as he can be, he generally does okay, and I’d rather see improvements in other areas taking precedence.

Agree that we need a CB, ball playing CM and a goal scoring midfielder mor than replacing Pickford ATM. But need a decent number 2 keeper to put pressure on Pickford. He makes a lot of mistakes and dosnt command his box. For me as I've said a few times he is too small as I personally like a tall keeper. Hopefully he will get mor experienced and be a calmer keeper

probably frustration more at watching the team give the ball away in a dangerous area and a goal coming from it, more so than him not saving it

and im not saying im Pickford fan number 1, but he generally only seems to do that when the team do something stupid which causes the goal

Hopefully the goalkeeper coach is telling Carlo we need a new one boss.

Sell whilst his stock is reasonably high still, before he makes any more howlers. As we’re not on Sky much in the foreseeable, hopefully no one will notice if he does. Get a bigger goalie in, Nick Pope for me.
