I really don't think you can. Unless you are watching every game every week and seeing all the little mistakes other keepers make you will always think your keeper makes more than most.

Plus we are saying he made mistakes against City when he really didn't at all. Not quite getting to a shot that goes in within a foot of the post isn't an error and neither is deflecting a cross from close range and having it go to an unmarked player.
He did get to the shot it went either over his hand or under it it was rank bad goalkeeping

I said on twitter the other day, that you compare him to Ederson, they are a similar age, bought for similar fees (albeit Ederson was a bit more) but City looked at them both. You can see they both have a lot of talent, good with their feet, excellent reflexes etc. However one player has really kicked on and wins his teams games semi-regularly. Pickford seems a level below to me.

It probably sounds harsh, but I look at Emerson andI'm disappointed after his first season thats not the level where Pickford has got too. It would make an enormous difference to us if he was. He would bail us out of lots of games.

If you want my gut feeling, I think there's a concentration and professionalism issue. He seems to relish bigger games, and was very good at the World Cup. However being a good goalkeeper is about doing it every week.

He;s not the biggest, but he has fantastic power, reflexes and is very good with his distribution. He has enormous ability, but it hasn't all sinked in for him. I do wonder if a move away would help him. Unfortunately for him, I think that option has gone with his drop in form.

In the mean time, I'll be a lot happier if he starts on a journey whereby he wants to go from being an erratic goalkeeper to begin a consistently top draw one. That challenge still looks on for me.

Absolutely spot on post mate

And thats the thing, people mostly have it in for him to me for those errors, mostly the Liverpool one,and cant let it go,Newcastle game he was all over the place
Also being England number 1 probably doesn’t help him being in the spotlight. We seen him have great matches on the biggest stages so naturally people have bigger expectations of him.

Utter nonsense.

Being England number one should give him huge confidence. Southgate has stuck with him despite mistakes.

Imagine waking up everday and being considered the best at your job in your country.

If you are daunted by that or the spotlight you should find another job.

Right because they had all of the other pieces. Dropping Bravo was the last piece. If we want upgrading on Pickford to mean we win the title we should sign Aguero Sterling De Bruyne David Silva and Bernardo first.

But seriously if we replaced Pickford with De Gea or Alisson or peak Southall we'd go from 8th to maybe 7th or 6th. We have limited resources. We can't go spending 50m on a position that is filled decently right now.
We don't have limited resources though . The resources have been wasted. Pickford needs dropping but Silva can't make a decision. He has had to many chances. If he got dropped he may then cut out the mistakes.
I bet if the Sheffield United keeper makes a mistake again this weekend he will be dropped.
We need clean sheets and pickford isn't delivering.

The resources being wasted doesn't mean that they aren't limited. And ours are limited. Manchester United have limited resources. Barcelona have limited resources. The only team that might have no limit is City. Everyone else has some level of a limit and has to make the decisions to maximize those. To me it doesn't matter if Pickford is the 4th or 10th best keeper because the amount of resources it will take to move up a material amount to the level of Ederson or De Gea is more than the benefit to the team that the improvement in goalkeeping will make.

Our midfield is a shambles, we have two CBs, no real depth at fullback, no replacement plan for Coleman, questionable young strikers and occasionally sub par creative play. And our manager might be crap. I'd spend the money on all of those things before I started thinking about replacing Pickford.

Also I've seen some shouts for Lossl to play. He isn't going to, but if he does you all need to promise to blame every single goal from outside the 6 yard box on him too.

With some of these I'm not sure if it is down to not watching them play often or just pure Evertonian negativity but flipping out about Pickford making mistakes and then wanting Arrizabalaga or Lloris is senseless.

only 6 keepers have made errors leading to goals this season, 3 of them are on his list.
