MOTD2 never showed the grin at all. Can you honestly believe it? This is the problem for the Highlights Brigade who make their own judgement, they are not seeing what he does of a full 90 mins.

And they didn't cover any of his mistakes in the analysis after. That drop in the first half wasn't even shown.

His England PR drive is clearly in operation already. MOTD2 under orders to not criticise him.

I agree. I think most top goalkeepers are actually fuming when they have to make a save, people like Peter Schmeichel and Oliver Kahn would go absolutely ballistic with their defence if they'd actually been called into some even moderate action where a save was required.

This lad on the other hand actively wants to make saves in a game, he just loves flinging himself about for no great reason. He's like a hyperactive child in the garden wearing goalie gloves "look at me mum, look at me diving". Any goalie that wants to be making saves is not right IMO.

He always wants to be involved, the one position you are fine with not being busy.

There have been a couple of occasions where he's made a save and jumped right up and chased the ball down leaving the goal unattended even though we had defender's dealing with the situation. Really irritated me that, a needless thing to do.

Jenas has never had a good word to say about us even prior to yesterday to be honest. Hes merely copying what Neville said recently. Ironic though he applies the boring tag to us given his droning delivery.
 
Who is the goalkeeper coach? Is he just there to keep the goalkeepers fit or does his opinion on their ability carry any weight and does he report to CA? If so, and he says look, I can't do anything to improve this fella, surely that would bring a change? Unless of course the reserves are no better than Pickford.

It's an error a game now similiar to star jumping howards end of career. (I thought he was very good start and middle career for us) I felt pickford lack of concentration seemed to lead to a mistake and then seemed to spread through team during matches over last 3 years. It has come to the point of replacing him when we might get some cash for him still.
 
I cant understand how players like pickford keep making mistake after mistake and still start for us. It's this loser mentality the club has. Suprised carlo hasnt made an example if him. Surely the understudy keepers are thinking ..look at this lad. Keeps making mistakes and I dont get a sniff of a chance. Not good for squad moral. I'd drop him till end of season if not selling during summer. Tell him get his head sorted and treat the jersey with respect. Laughing constantly mistake after mistake. It might be a nervous thing but surely alan kelly should be telling him cut that rubbish out. It wont be long if he keeps this laughing game up that he will be hunted out of the club.

He spends most of his game chasing the ball when it's going out for a standard goal kick, he's there racing out towards near the corner flag trying to keep the ball in. It is hyperactive behaviour IMO and he can't relax.

I know our central defenders ultimately aren't up to it anyway but they must be an extra bag of nerves with this lad behind them, you've no idea what brainwave he'll come up with next.

Yeah I think it would be smart to see the warning signs, be decisive and get rid in case we’re lumbered with another unshiftable failure
