While they're not perfect themselves, I suspect the defence are probably very wary having him behind them at the moment.

I was an advocate of Pickford and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but the message I've said over and over just continues to stack up.

He lacks the awareness that he isn't performing well enough, and I suspect he's so egotistical that he believes he doesn't believe that he needs to improve.

In reality, we're all beating around the bush with our comments: basically, he's an idiot and too thick to realise his issues. The lack of competition won't help either.

I don't care how good Lossl or Virgina actually are because they deserve a place in the XI based simply on Pickford deserves to be dropped.

I find all this talk about his "arrogance" and the laughing etc to be incredibly tedious though.

He is just not that good a goalkeeper, doesn't have to be anything else.
