Well he wasn't our Goalkeeping coach until Silva left in December, and Pickford had played every cup game before then as well, so whoever told you that is lying.

Let's assume you are right. Alan Kelly, on assuming the duties of 1st team Goalkeeping Coach under newly appointed managers Ferguson and Ancelotti, used his massive influence to make sure they both picked 1st choice Goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, to play in the League Cup Quarter Final against 2nd placed Leicester, and FA Cup 3rd round against 1st Place Liverpool.

Why, if it was only due to Kelly's influence that he played in these 2 higher stakes games, did he also play in 3 earlier ties against so called lesser opposition, while Silvas own trusted Goalkeeping Coach was in situ. A coach who, according to you, did not rate Pickford at all.

Would he not have championed Lossl for at least 1 of these games? Or was it just that Silva was more of a decisive, single minded, headstrong character, over well known pushovers, Duncan Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti? Both of whom had known Alan Kelly for what, 2 weeks?

What it sounds like to me, is you either have a really bad source and are gullable, or no source and are lying.

It pains me too say it, but there is bigger problems than him. He’s on borrowed time, just personally can’t see it this season. Exactly the same way Buck Teeth across the road dealt with it, I’d expect the same here. Get the team ticking so we don’t get overrun by third rate players in the middle of the park

He is incapable of anything other than - at best - uneven form. If Ancelotti is serious about making a go of it at Everton it is his number one priority to deal with.

Changed my mind on that aswell. For the whole confidence thing i feel it is a priority now. I'd take a steady eddie keeper for a year to give some sanity to the defenders in front.

because our midfield would struggle in the conference and we have no attacking threat from the wings, there’s £100m right there

if we got an offer for Pickford I’d bite immediately and replace, but if we don’t then I can’t see it

maybe you should take it up with Carlo, he’s at FF most days

Used to agree with people saying there is bigger problems. The issue is Pickford is making himself an absolutely huge problem.

Not sure he will progress any further then he is, a massively error prone erratic keeper, who is a decent shot stopper.

It starts at the back. Yes, we need midfield steel and we need creativity from the flanks, but if you have a corner flag in goal it all counts for nought.

I’m not denying he’s a problem, because he’s truly woeful and should never have been purchased.

but when I see that after Richy and DCL our next highest goal scorer has 3; our highest assists from midfield is 3 (unbelievably behind Sidibe and the same Mason Holgate) and that every team on the planet can walk through our midfield.

I know where our priorities are.
