How can a GK who is guaranteed to let us down each game not be THE priority in getting shut of and replacing?

He has made some horrendous gaffes. He doesn't inspire confidence and I would certainly like to see him replaced, BUT, other areas (midfield) is definitely the priority . . . . . . . . . . also, the bolded part is just pure hyperbole and fake news Dave.

Play Lossl for the last 2 friendlies (well he has to for Preston anyway) and if he does well start him at Spurs to give Pickford something to think about, especially if Southgate drops him for the international games

Lossl is turbo tosh - went down with 20th place Huddersfield & looked nothing special in the Championship.

Its exactly why Pickford is laughing his todger off at the club - zero competition for his place and it shows in his performances.

but when I see that after Richy and DCL our next highest goal scorer has 3; our highest assists from midfield is 3 (unbelievably behind Sidibe and the same Mason Holgate) and that every team on the planet can walk through our midfield.

I know where our priorities are.

If itls an exaggeration, it isn't by much. About 3 games in 5 there will be an enormous and costly blunder.

Genuinely believe he could follow the route of Joe Hart and lose all confidence and interest in him. Could potentially leave the club in a few years on a free and see his career fade away. That’s how concerning his form has been for two years.

Just sell before his stock lowers even more.

Wait, what? Zouma was a absolute liability for two 3rds of the season. The lad played very well in the last third I'll give you that but let's not rewrite history.

Although pickford is the worst keeper in the league and needs replacing as soon as possible.

I think if we weren't so hamstrung financially at the moment he'd be gone. Sadly we need him to have a decent season to have any hope of getting a decent fee for him, otherwise it's another one completely down the drain. An enforced gamble, really.

I’ve no idea about the money, but our midfield is one of the poorest I’ve seen. The midfield gives confidence to the defenders and energises the attack. Ours just sends everyone to sleep.....

no cash means no more Steve Walsh £250m summers, there’ll be cash for priority signings I.e. the midfield

It’s a weird situation where we have the current (if not for much longer) England goalkeeper and he makes stupid mistakes. What was once a guarantor of quality now means very little....
