...I know you think it’s easy to move players on for decent money, but I really can’t see a club paying £30m for Pickford at this point in time. His form and level of consistency would have to significantly improve.
And if they did we'd keep him,Catch 22 if ever there was one.

...I really don’t think a club will pay £30m for Pickford, regardless of him being England’s no1.

The trick for any DoF is moving the unwanted on when their stock is high. It takes courage to do so, but cashing in on Pickford after he impressed in the World Cup was the way to go. Back your judgement.

I know you feel a DoF should get top dollar for all our surplus stock, but it doesn’t work that way. It seems Keane is getting talked up, I’d certainly move him on now.

players are assets like any other. We should buy low and sell high. Everton seem todo the opposite, we throw huge money at flavour of the month players then presided over their decline in value. Pickford is one of the 17/18 buys coming into the las two years of contract. We should sell if possible for a book profit and get a decent young keeper who might increase in value.

...the only point I would make to that strategy is if you want to be successful you need to keep your very best players.

Everyone sells eventually. Both United and Madrid have sold Ronaldo. Barcelona may even sell Messi. City are rich enough to keep Kompany Silva and Aguero into retirement but they’re now having to buy world class players in three positions just to stand still with no sales from players. Everton can’t afford to operate that way, hardly any club outside of the very top can.

Wait, what? Zouma was a absolute liability for two 3rds of the season. The lad played very well in the last third I'll give you that but let's not rewrite history.

Although pickford is the worst keeper in the league and needs replacing as soon as possible.

Some have very short memories with zouma. Upped his game about jan/feb.
Before that...forget it.

Areola at PSG, Lunin at Real Madrid, Perin at Juventus, Meret at Napoli we could all enquire about a realistic loan. We would probably have to guarentee them first team football though

I said before he was signed, never buy a keeper who looks good in a crap team, he looks good because he has so much to do; not so good when he has time to think. the rs bought mingolet the same as pickford - more stable maybe, he had morethan 1 brain cell

Really disappointing last season, but still don't think he's a priority. I think we need an entire new midfield, and another centre half before him.

Ancelotti will know the score.

Get a keeper to give some actual competition - I'll be laughed at but I'd have went for Joe Hart on the right wages.
