Apparently there’s so much work that goes into signing a player these days. Just don’t understand why they’ve wasted all that time and effort to sign lossl. Pickford in my opinion will always make mistakes and be rash. It just seems to be in his personality. If they played lossl though, maybe Pickford might knuckle down. There’s people on the Silva thread saying it’s not his fault that Pickford makes mistakes. He most certainly picks him though. And affects his thinking.....
 
Im a (very) amateur goalie but when I saw his position for the free kick I was worried he was too far over to his right. I think he's a very good GK but I'm pretty sure that will be reviewed a lot in training next week.

Right but it’s a bit weird to be calling someone very good (who is average compared to their peers) simply because he’s better then keepers in lower divisions... by that logic every keeper we’ve had is very good and every player in the premier league is very good.

Well, he is Englands number one (unarguably based on recent appearances) and arguably one of the best GK in the PL. If you dont think that makes him at least "very good" then fine. Rather weird IMO tho. Thats not to say I didnt think he made an absolute mess of the freekick. But to consider him any less than "very good" is well, weird.

It’s not weird though, it’s the widely held opinion, the weird and unpopular opinion is that he’s actually very good.

He’s very good in the grand scale of football but compared to his peers in the PL he is average, honestly can’t see how anyone can consider him one of the best in the league given the amount of mistakes he’s already made in a relatively short career at Everton. I don’t have stats to hand but I feel like Howard was somehow less error prone...

Maybe the fella sees it with his own eyes and doesn't rely on other people telling him how good he is.

I've defended Pickford for a long time to anyone who'd listen but he's really starting to annoy me now. The amount of random brian farts he has would be comical if he played for somebody else.
