Never really understood the big fuss about him when he was at Sunderland and for us to fork out 30M for him. There are signs that he's a good keeper but I doubt he'll ever be world class due to too many of his brain farts. beginning to remind me of Joe Hart and he needs to be dropped. Never be world class because he is too small. Decent keeper but not good enough. Too many mistakes And dies stupid things. Remember him giving the RS keeper stick last year and having went to the Newcastle game his performance there was a disgrace. Media pundits are now on too him. Can see why people would say he needs replacing but in truth there are a number of areas we need to improve in before addressing this

These comparisons to Joe Hart are very harsh on Hart. He actually was very good at his peak and as you say was part of a great City team. We're the best club Pickford will ever play for and we're in no great shape.

More than any other position, goalkeepers are judged on the number of mistakes they (don't) make. It doesn't matter how many spectacular saves Pickford makes, as long as he drops regular clangers (which I fear he always will) he will be a poor keeper (and that's without taking into consideration his predilection for booting the ball out for a throw-in whenever he kicks the ball from hand). He is in the bottom half of goalkeepers in the PL - and that's being generous!

He's a stopper, not a keeper. Just a shorter way of saying what you did.

As much as I've been pooping on him, the one thing he seems to be good at is penalties. More than most, I mean.

For every mistake Jordan makes - Brighton - he seems to follow it up next game with a clean sheet. Cracking save at 0-0 as well. His distribution was also great last night. He's young, stick with him and make him ours for ten years.
