Yeah, Hutchison was badly exposed there, siding with the hysterical mob. All credibility gone. Only Steve Nicol walked away with any dignity. He had pop at Pickford, who he reckons is "wired" incorrectly, and Richarlison who he described as a "hothead", but completely dismissed Laurens's rantings as nonsense. It's come to something when an ex-Evertonian is on the wrong side of a debate with Steve Nicol.

he’s ex rs to tho isn’t he

like someone else said this could be the best thing for Pickfords mentality if we rally behind him even go overboard. Maybe he just needs love.
He also needs longer arms and a bigger brain tbf, but you know how it is, you can pick on your less than intelligent, short armed brother, but if someone else does it becomes a problem. I do agree that this is the time for him to get his stuff right, if he’s able to do that, all the mistakes will be forgotten and im pretty sure the fan base will swing back in his favour.

Well said Kevin Campbell, what a legend, rightly pulled Merson over his slimy comment over Moise Kean. First one to raise his head above the parapet.

He’s a brave man Kev, he’ll more than likely lose his punditry work because of this now.

It’s a bit sickening that no other former player has defended the club over this witch hunt now, it says it all when Jamie Carragher an ex-red has called it how it is and defended him yet nobody else has.

I hope Everton are seriously looking at legal action over some of the slander and malicious rhetoric that have led to Pickford, his girlfriend and his baby son receiving death threats. I hope certain journalists and pundits are targeted individually.

if the game hadn’t stopped for off side then he would have . As the laws are currently as it wasn’t VIOLENT conduct the passage of play was irrelevant. Are the rules wrong ? I don’t know , but as they stand they made the right call. If he went out and punched him or kicked out at him with no intention of playing the ball he would have seen red but he didn’t
Worth saying twice! ;)

Death threats being sent to him and his missus.

Inevitable, unfortunately.
Has VVD gone to twitter to silence some of this crap? He’s a footballer, he knows things like this happenes And is in prime position to stop this garbage escalating. If he or the rs doesnt do anything to stop literal death threats, theyre even worse than i thought.

Not being funny mate, but I reckon he has other stuff on his mind at the moment.

How? they are different mate...

VAR could have applied rule of reckless endangerment under rule 12 (serious foul play in other words) and reviewed the tackle, irrespective of the offside. I'm not suggesting this would have resulted in a red, but it was definitely within VAR's jurisdiction to review.
