I agree. If we had a perfect midfield and scored 5 goals a game then we could allow Pickford to throw a couple in his own net every game and still win.
We haven't though. .. so we will just have to question why Gylfi is garbage, why DCL is the only viable striker and continue to wonder whether a game will go by without JP making a howler.
He definitely plays a part in us conceding 2+ goals per game actually, yes.

Taking into account what we are trying to achieve and the money we are spending
I don’t blame him for us getting beat, as simply the goals we concede is a collective issue
My issue with him is down to simple basics and awareness, and I am unsure if he hasn’t got that now he may never have it

the poster apparently thinks he isn’t good enough and wants him replaced
but seems to be bothered by football fans not liking a keeper who is top banana when it comes to errors leading to goals. Like it’s some bizarre stance to have that they just don’t understand

The taxi might not be outside the ground yet but Carlo has definitely booked it. If not for January then for next May. He's seen enough of this bumbling man child.
Unfortunately the worse he gets, the more Carlo doubles down on the faith in him. He’s being incredibly stubborn over this. He seems to think that stroking his ego and boosting his confidence is somehow going to turn him into a good keeper. I see absolutely no reason to believe he’ll ever drop him let alone sell him, which is a monumental shame.

I do sometimes wonder if the likes of him and Gylfi have clauses in their contracts that mean (if fit) they need to play a certain number of games during a season. It's the only reason i can see for the continual refusal to drop certain players.
